CHILDREN/PETS
We welcome children at Grove House, but sorry no pets.
INTERNET ACCESS
Wireless internet access is available throughout the house. This service is security protected hence a code is needed to operate this facility. No charge will be made for this service.
LUGGAGE
Assistance with luggage is available upon request.
HOSPITALITY TRAYS
All bedrooms have a hospitality tray with tea, coffee, milk portions etc. Should you prefer fresh milk - just ask.
BEDDING
All of our bedding is suitable for allergy sufferers. Should you prefer a blanket, top sheet or extra pillows - these are available.
HOT WATER
There are no restrictions regarding the time for using our hot water, and there should be more than enough 24 hours a day.
HEATING
All bedrooms are heated with a self control radiator. You can turn it down or off if you so wish. If extra heating is required please ask and we can give you an additional heater.
EMERGENCY CONTACT
For urgent assistance during the night I can be contacted on 07867 785524 or ring the front door bell.
FIRE PRECAUTIONS
We strongly advise that you read the Fire Notice within your room and personally check where your nearest fire exit is.
SMOKING
We are a non smoking establishment.
TRAVEL ADAPTORS
Should you require an adaptor for your electrical appliances during your stay please ask.
ELECTRONIC SAFES
Each bedroom is equipped with a safe. Please refer to the operating instructions inside.
WAKE UP CALLS
We do not offer this service as each bedroom is equipped with an alarm clock.
IRONING FACILITIES
Should you require an iron/ ironing board during your stay - just ask.
HAIRDRYER
There is a hairdryer for your use in each bedroom.
DRINKING WATER
The water in the colored bottles is suitable for drinking. Ice is available upon request.
FRIDGES
All rooms have a compacted fridge for chilling drinks etc. Should you require some additional space for chilling items please ask. If possible I will oblige. However, it must be noted that we do not allow guests to eat meals in their rooms due to the high standard of furnishings etc.
CD AND DVD PLAYERS
Each bedroom is equipped with these. There is a boxed set of CDs for you to enjoy during your stay. (Please leave these for future guests). There is also a DVD on our local area for you to view. Should you wish to purchase one as a momento of your holiday they are available at the War and Peace Museum, in Oban, at a nominal fee.
HOT TUB
This is available to our guests who book out the entire house and stay for a minimum of three consecutive nights.
NEWSPAPERS
A selection of newspapers will be laid out in our lounge or conservatory for you to read before breakfast. Should you require this service it must be requested the night before.
BREAKFAST TIMES
Breakfast is served from 8.00 am - 9.00 am daily. Should these times not be suitable please contact me and every effort will be made to accommodate your requirements.
GARDENS
Whilst staying at Grove House you have full use of the Falls of Lora Hotel garden and the family loch side 2 acre garden across the road from our house. The Residents Lounge at the hotel is also available for your use.
PAYMENT
Unfortunately, we do not accept any form of electronic payment. Suitable methods are Sterling cheques (with a cheque guarantee card) and Sterling money. Should you need to withdraw cash the village store which is two minutes away by foot has a cash machine which is free to use. The store opens at 6.00 am daily and closes at 6.00 pm Monday - Saturday and 1.00 pm on Sunday.
BOOKING/CANCELLATION POLICY
We take the first night's accommodation cost as a deposit at the time of booking. This can either be paid by cheque or an electronic bank transfer. This amount is non refundable should you need to cancel your booking. If you need to cancel a booking outwith the 30 days of the arrival date there will be no further charge. However any cancellations made within the 30 day period may be subject to further charges. We will obviously do our upmost to re let the room, and should we do so, no further charges will be made.
We strongly advise guests to take out holiday insurance to protect themselves should this happen. In the event of such a circumstance we will provide all the relevant paperwork for your insurance company to claim back any monies lost.
Check in is from 4pm. We ask that you let us know should you be arriving later than 6pm. Check out is 10am, however should you require a later check out of 12am and, if this can be arranged there will be an additional £25 charge per bedroom.
